Why learn a musical instrument?
Studies show that learning a musical instrument helps the brain develop additional skills. People who
have learned an instrument can typically problem solve in a creative and novel way. Therefore, developing
a musical skill can help accelerate or deepen one's understanding of other subjects.
Location
I provide lessons in students' homes, with an open door policy, meaning that parents are able to drop into the lesson at any time unannounced. Alternatively, students can come to me for a lesson and I insist that children, for peace of mind of the parents, are accompanied. Lessons outside of Merton will incur a traveling fee depending on the specific location.
Other Subjects
Like most modern trained teachers, I can teach other subjects as well, these include Music Technology and Music Theory
